Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. In her early Broadway performances, she starred her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Her performance as Essie Carmahiel in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel was rewarded with the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with directors and actors on stage and screen for her entire career. Ashford's upcoming project is a limited-edition Hulu series titled Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show debuts on November 22 and Ashford stars opposite Kumail Najiani. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the musical. Ashford's latest part was that of Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. She was in two seasons of the hit CBS comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the character that was originally played by Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway performances. Her birthplace and childhood was in Denver Ashford now splits her days between Los Angeles and New York.
