Jessie James achieved a reasonable level of success, with Wanted being able to make it into at the Top 40 charts. Decker always thought of herself as a singer from the country genre, but the album's marketing and production was targeted at an audience that was more popular. Decker felt unhappy with two more singles released from the album the executives of the record label for more influence. Decker then released her second single Boys in the Summer which is more than a country track. The second album of Decker's was revealed with the title Daughter of a Gypsy, or Sweet American Dreams. Mercury had it shelved and three of Decker's country tracks failed. Her album was eventually released.
